Distribution of new uniforms to children in an orphanage
On 18 April 2001, John Britto, CAF Coordinator, paid a visit to the Margaret Social Development Society, a home for 45 children who have lost their parents. The majority of these children come from poor land-less families and as such their relatives are not able to take look after them next to their own family members.
During his visit, John Britto talked to all the children and each of them told him about their individual background, as well as about their goals and aspirations in life. Thereafter, John Britto explained them about CAF and its mission, aims and objectives, and through stories he informed the children about the problems, roles, duties and rights of the children. Finally John Britto distributed the clothies to the children on behalf of CAF. The children in return expressed their gratitude to CAF and to John Britto, thanking their God for his kindness in sending the gifts to them with love through the CAF organisation.
A total of 45 children received new clothing on this occasion:
